Janie & Jack, 2012-2023
I started at Janie & Jack as an Assistant Designer in 2012. At the time, the brand was relatively unknown and had a very traditional aesthetic. Over the years, my team worked to modernize the brand, updating traditional silhouettes to the new “mini-me” look that the new millennial mom was craving. We took inspiration straight from the runway, and had fun adding cheeky twists to vintage classics: shrunken tweed suits laced with metallic chenille, riding pants in bold oversized tartans, and over-the-top faux fur coats in candy colors. Through our collections, we told beautiful, aspirational stories not often seen in the childrenswear world. Below is a small sample of the collections I worked on over the course of my career there.
